How to delete your Pootle account

You can permanently delete your Pootle account at any time from within the Pootle mobile app. Deletion removes your profile, sign-in credentials, and associated app data. This action cannot be undone.
Delete your account in the app
- Open the Pootle app on your iPhone or Android device.
- Sign in with the account you want to delete.
- Tap Profile in the bottom navigation bar.
- Scroll down and tap Delete account (shown in red, below the Legal section).
- Read the warning, then tap Continue and confirm again by tapping Delete my account.
- When deletion completes, you will be signed out and see a confirmation that your account has been permanently deleted.
You must be signed in to delete your account. If you are not signed in, open Profile and sign in first, then follow the steps above.
Subscriptions (Pootle Plus)
Deleting your Pootle account does not automatically cancel an active App Store or Google Play subscription. To avoid future charges, cancel your subscription in your device's subscription settings before or after deleting your account:
- iPhone / iPad: Settings → your name → Subscriptions → Pootle
- Android: Google Play → Payments & subscriptions → Subscriptions → Pootle
What is deleted
When you delete your account, we remove:
- Your sign-in account (email / social login)
- Your user profile and preferences
- Your saved routes, favourites, and other data linked to your account
- Obstacle reports you submitted
Some anonymised or aggregated route data may be retained where removal would harm dataset integrity or the rights of other users. See our Privacy Policy for more detail.
Cannot access the app?
If you cannot sign in or use the in-app delete option, email us at [email protected] from the email address linked to your account and ask us to delete it. We will verify your request and complete deletion within a reasonable time.
